6 Bangladeshi workers die in Saudi Arabia fire

Six Bangladeshi workers were killed and another injured in a fire at a residential building at Holaifa area in Saudi Arabia early Wednesday morning (local time).

The deceased include two brothers from Cumilla’s Chauddagram upazila- Emranul Haque Sohel, 34, and Imamul Haque Munna, 22. Deceased Sohel Rana, 30, son of Sirajul Islam, is also from the same Upazila.

Two brothers - Jasim Uddin, 26, and Md Ibrahim, 23, - from Lakshmipur’s Kamalnagar upazila are also among the casualties.

The other Bangladeshi killed in the fire is Mohiuddin Rashed, 35, from Feni’s Birinchi area.

According to their family sources, they (seven victims) went to bed after having a meal on Tuesday night. Later six were burnt to death and another burnt severely as a gas cylinder exploded in the room early Wednesday.
