A youth was knifed to death by some people over pre-enmity in the capital’s Mohammadpur on Friday midnight

The deceased was identified as Md Amir Hossain Akand, 28, son of late Younus Ali Akand, of Choto village at Zajira upazila in Shariyatpur. 

Amir’s brother-in-law Rubel said Amir used to supply water in different shops in the capital. He came out of my house after one person named Salam called him. Amir locked in an altercation with Balam, Kabir and Humayun at Aziz Khan road area in Rayerbazar. At one stage, they stabbed him randomly and fled the scene. Later, Amir’s friend Milon recovered and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Md Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, told Jago News that the body was kept at DMCH’s morgue for autopsy and the concerned police station was also informed about the matter.
