Lightning strikes kill 3 in Shariatpur

Three people were killed in lightning strikes in Naria upazila of Shariatpur on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Shahin Sheikh, 38, Siraj Ojha, 50, and Shahin Majhi, 40, residents of Dingamanik area in the upazila.

Naria Police Station officer in-charge Hafizur Rahman said thunderbolts struck the three people while catching fish in a farm in Bahirkushia village under Dingamanik union, leaving them dead on the spot.
