As many as 195 undocumented migrants, including 55 Bangladeshi nationals, have been detained in Johor state of Malaysia.

Of them, 62 detainees are from Myanmar, 31 from Indonesia, 28 from India, 16 from Pakistan, two from China and one from Timor-Leste.

Johor immigration department detained them in operations carried out in two separate palm gardens in Johor Bahru city early Saturday, it said in a post on its verified Facebook page.

The department Director Baharuddin Tahir said they were held due to misuse of pass or permit, staying illegally and committing various offenses.

He said they will continue to take action against those foreign nationals who stay in Malaysia illegally, misuse their pass and conduct unethical activities.
