MP Anar murder: 3 put on 8-day remand

A court in Dhaka has placed three people on an eight-day remand in a case filed over the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar, a lawmaker from the Jhenaidah-4 constituency.

Those remanded are Syed Amanullah Aman alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Faisal Ali Saji alias Tanvi Bhuiyan, and Celesty Rahman.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dilruba Afroza Tithy passed the order on Friday after police had produced him before the court.

Earlier on Thursday night, the law enforcers arrested them and showed arrested in the case.

On Wednesday (May 22), India's West Bengal police said Bangladeshi MP Anwarul Azim Anar was killed there. 

On the same, his daughter Mumtarin Ferdous Doreen lodged the case mentioned above with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, Dhaka in this connection.
