The government has decided to roll out an emergency measles vaccination campaign starting Sunday, targeting children across the country.
Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain made the announcement at a briefing held at the ministry on Wednesday.
He said children aged between 6 and 10 years will be brought under the vaccination programme, which will continue until full coverage of the targeted group is achieved.
Alongside the emergency campaign, routine immunisation activities under the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) will also continue as scheduled.
