Move to activate Bogura airport: Air chief

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan on Sunday, January 12, said an initiative has been taken to activate the country’s ninth airport in Bogura.
“Proposals have been placed to the previous government on several occasions about this airport but no importance was given to it. We will give proposal afresh,” he said.
The air chief said this after inspecting the site for the airport in the district.
“It will take minimum a year to launch the airport in a small scale after securing budget,” he said, adding that once this airport is opened, the economic scope of the country will be enriched.
