Commission suggests changing country’s constitutional name

The Constitution Reform Commission has proposed to change the country’s constitutional name in Bengali from 'Gonoprojatontri Bangladesh' to 'Jonogonotantri Bangladesh'.
However, the English version of Constitution will contain words "Republic" and "People's Republic of Bangladesh".
The commission led by professor Ali Riaz submitted its report to the Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at his office in Dhaka’s Tejgaon on Wednesday, January 15, where the changes were suggested.
