Operation Devil Hunt: 591 arrested in 24 hours

As many as 1,686 individuals were arrested across the country in the last 24 hours on various charges.
Of them, 591 were apprehended during the nationwide ‘Operation Devil Hunt’, Inamul Haque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, told Jago News on Wednesday evening, February 12.
On Saturday, February 8, the government announced the special operation, Operation Devil Hunt, across the country, including Gazipur, aiming to maintain law and order and bring terrorists to justice.
The decision was made during a high-level law enforcement meeting at the Secretariat on the day, following an attack on students and civilians in Gazipur on February 7 night.
