Jahangir carries out surprise inspection of police patrols

In an effort to maintain law and order in the Dhaka Metropolitan area, the Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, conducted a surprise inspection of police patrol operations early Wednesday. 

He visited various key points and intersections in the capital, where integrated checkposts and security operations, involving the police and other law enforcement agencies, have been set up. He also inspected several police stations.

Starting from his residence in DOHS Baridhara, the Adviser traveled to Banani Intersection, Bijay Sarani, Manik Mia Avenue, Kalabagan, Eden College, and then visited the New Market Police Station. Later, from New Market Police Station, he continued on to Shahbagh Intersection, Matsya Bhaban, Moghbazar, Hatirjheel, Police Plaza, and then visited Gulshan Police Station.

After the inspection, he returned to his residence in Baridhara, passing through several nearby alleyways. During the visit, the Adviser interacted with law enforcement personnel stationed at the police stations and checkposts, offering guidance and instructions. He also directed the security forces to remain on high alert to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the capital and across the country.
