Tk 2.50cr recovered from ex-DGFI chief’s home

The Anti-Corruption Commission, ACC, has recovered around Tk 2.50 crore from the home of Lieutenant General (Retd) Saiful Alam, former chief of the Directorate General of Intelligence Forces, DGFI.
On an information, the ACC conducted a drive at his home at Dhaka Cantonment area on February 27 as part of an investigation against him, and recovered about Tk 2.45 crore, ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain said on Sunday, March 2.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit, BFIU, ordered to freeze Saiful Alam’s bank accounts.
On September 11 last year, the Bangladesh army sent him on forced retirement.
