Police arrest 1,642 in special drives

Police arrested a total of 1,642 individuals on various charges during special operations across the country in the last 24 hours.
Of them, 1,072 were arrested in various cases and on basis of warrants, while 570 were apprehended on other criminal charges.
Inamul Haque Sagar, AIG (Media and PR) of the Police Headquarters, disclosed this on Friday afternoon, April 25.
The law enforcers also recovered firearms and weapons during the drives.
Police will continue the special operations, said AIG Inamul Haque Sagar.
