Fire erupts in Purana Paltan highrise, 7 fire engines respond

A fire broke out on the top floor of Sabbir Tower, a commercial building in Purana Paltan, at 8:25pm on Saturday, May 3, prompting a swift response from the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Md Anwarul Islam, an officer at the Fire Service Control Room, confirmed that seven fire units are actively working to control the blaze.
The first unit arrived at 8:32pm and immediately began operations. No casualties have been reported, Islam said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as efforts to extinguish it continue.
