Martyr’s father opposes new CEO of July Foundation

Mohammad Mohiuddin, father of martyr Ashhabul Yameen, publicly opposed the appointment of Lt Col (Retd) Akbar Kamal as the new CEO of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, following the resignation of Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho. 

The announcement came during a press conference after the foundation’s fourth board meeting at the State Guest House Jamuna on Thursday.

Mohiuddin interrupted the conference, declaring, “We reject this appointment. The CEO must come from martyrs’ families, where many are qualified.” 

He revealed raising objections during the board meeting, only to be reprimanded by the foundation’s treasurer.
