Biman suspends Japan flight
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the suspension of flight operation from Dhaka to Narita in Japan from July 1.
The decision has been taken due to ongoing Hajj flights, aircraft shortage and business reality, a Biman press release said on Sunday, May 18.
Those who bought tickets of Dhaka-Narita-Dhaka flight post July 1 can take back money without any additional costs, the release said.
Biman, the national flag carrier, launched flight from Dhaka to Tokyo in 1979 and after some days, it closed.
In 1981, Biman began flight operation from Dhaka to Narita on the outskirts of Tokyo which also closed in 2006.
On September 1, 2023, Dhaka-Narita flight resumed operation that is now halted.
