Law enforcement leaves cancelled to ensure smooth Eid celebration
Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has announced that all leaves for law enforcement personnel have been cancelled to ensure the safety and security of citizens during Eid-ul-Azha. He stated that forces have already been deployed and are actively operating across cities and regions.
The announcement came during a press briefing on Tuesday (June 3), following a coordination meeting with relevant stakeholders at the Ministry of Home Affairs, aimed at ensuring smooth Eid travel and celebrations.
The Home Affairs Adviser said law enforcement agencies are maintaining strict vigilance to prevent any untoward incidents across the country. “We hope there will be no problems. Please celebrate Eid peacefully,” he assured the public.
Also present at the meeting were Khoda Box Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser assigned to the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Advocate Shamsur Rahman Khan Shimul Biswas, Coordinator of the Owners-Workers Unity Council.
