3 killed after truck runs over pedestrians in Uttara

Three people were killed after being hit by a truck while standing on the road at the Azampur intersection in the capital’s Uttara area.
The accident occurred around 3:00am on Sunday (June 29).
Uttara East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Golam Mostafa confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.
He said a truck lost control and ran over several people standing at the Azampur intersection, killing two on the spot. The third victim died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
The truck involved in the accident has been seized, he added, noting that efforts are underway to identify the victims.
The bodies have been kept at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital morgue for autopsy.
