Jago News’ Nazmul wins SME Foundation-ERF Media Award

Nazmul Hossain, senior reporter at Jago News, has won the SME Foundation-ERF Media Award 2025.

He received the award on Wednesday (July 2) from Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Finance Adviser to the interim government.

Nazmul Hossain was recognised for his report titled “Financing Barriers to a Cluster-Based Thriving SME Sector.”

The award ceremony was presided over by SME Foundation Chairperson Md. Musafiqur Rahman and conducted by Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) General Secretary Abul Kashem.

Special guests at the event included SME Foundation Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, ERF President Daulat Akter Mala, and SME Foundation General Manager Mohammad Jahangir Hossain. Other officials from SME Foundation and leaders from ERF were also present.

Nazmul Hossain studied Journalism and Mass Communication at Daffodil International University. After graduating, he began his career as a reporter at Bonik Barta. He later worked for Share Biz and Bangladesher Khabor. Eventually, he joined the country’s leading online news portal Jago News, where he was promoted to senior reporter in 2024.
