KNA commander among 2 killed in Bandarban army operation

Two members of the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA), including a commander, were killed during an army operation in the remote hills of Ruma upazila in Bandarban.

The operation began at midnight on Wednesday and was ongoing when this report was filed at 9:40 am on Thursday. 

The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.

During the operation, three submachine guns (SMGs), one rifle, and a cache of ammunition were recovered.

Bandarban Additional Superintendent of Police Abdul Karim confirmed the incident, saying that police personnel have been dispatched to the scene.
