In a plot twist worthy of a soap opera, a mother’s desperate bid to derail her son’s extramarital escapade led to a fake bomb threat that grounded a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.

The dramatic saga unfolded on Saturday, sparking a three-hour search, three arrests, and a tale of family betrayal that’s got everyone talking.

Flight BG-373, bound for Kathmandu from Dhaka, was thrown into chaos when an anonymous call claimed a bomb was on board.

The plane made an emergency landing, and authorities scoured every inch of the aircraft for explosives. Spoiler alert: no bomb was found.

But the real bombshell? The call came from a protective mother determined to keep her son from jetting off with his lover.

At a press conference in Karwan Bazar, RAB Director General Additional IGP AKM Shahidur Rahman spilled the tea. “We’ve arrested three people connected to this incident, which stems from a family dispute,” he revealed.

“The man was planning a romantic getaway to Kathmandu with his estranged lover. His wife and mother got wind of it, and the mother, tipped off by her son’s friend, called air traffic control with the fake bomb threat to stop him in his tracks.”

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) swiftly tracked down the culprits behind the hoax, proving that hell hath no fury like a mother scorned.
