Photographer Shahidul Alam's case dismissed

The High Court (HC) has declared illegal a case filed against the internationally renowned photographer, Shahidul Alam, under the ICT Act.
The court passed the order on Thursday, August 7.
After the HC order, the case is now dismissed, according to his lawyers.
The High Court on November 4, 2024, gave a stay order on the case and also issued a rule asking to know why the case should not declared illegal.
Later, Shahidul Alam filed a petition seeking cancellation of the lawsuit.
According to lawyers, the case was lodged against him in August of 2018 under the ICT Act.
