Mother of Jago News sub-editor Salahuddin passes away

Anwara Begum, mother of Jago News sub-editor Muhammad Salahuddin, passed away from a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Saturday. She was 60.

Salahuddin said his mother had been hospitalised a few days prior due to heart complications, but was allowed to return home following medical assessment.

In the early morning of Saturday, around 2:00am, she experienced severe chest pain and breathed last at her residence in village Dighal Gaon in Sadar Dakshin Upazila of Cumilla.

She is survived by her husband, Abdur Rashid, five daughters, two sons, and several grandchildren.

Anwara Begum was laid to rest at the family graveyard following funeral prayers held at the local mosque, before Zohr prayers.

The family has requested all to pray for the eternal peace and salvation of her soul.
