4 more dengue deaths, 568 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs

Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Saturday 8:00am to Sunday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 122 this year.

The new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 568 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 31,476 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (August 31).

Of the new cases, 110 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 93 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 114 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 67 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 82 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and 42 in Khulna division (outside the city corporation).

Besides, 16 were reported in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation), 39 in Rajshahi division (outside the city corporation), and three in Sylhet division (outside the city corporation).
