Pilgrims must complete Hajj registration by Oct 12
The deadline of primary registration for Hajj in the next year will end on October 12 and it would not be extended as per Saudi Arabia government's timeline, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ministry sent a letter to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Thursday, September 4, urging it to take necessary measures to send this message to the Muslim citizens of Bangladesh through text by all mobile phone operators for widely publicity.
"No one can register for Hajj after October 12 as per Saudi government's roadmap. We want to inform all about this widely and that is why, initiatives have been taken and BTRC has been given letter," Md Manzurul Haque, joint secretary of Hajj wing, told Jago News.
The primary Hajj registration began on July 27.
A total of 1,27,198 pilgrims from Bangladesh can perform Hajj in the next year which is likely to take place in the last week of May of 2026.
