2 die in Ctg Eid-e-Miladunnabi rally

Two people died and several others were injured in separate incidents at the Eid-e-Miladunnabi processions in Chattogram city on Saturday, September 6.

The deceased were identified as Ayub Ali, 60, a resident of Patiya police station area, and Saiful Islam, 13, of Kalamia Bazar in the city.

Locals said several people were injured amid the heavy crowd at the Eid-e-Miladunnabi procession, known as Jashne Julus, in Muradpur area around 12:00 noon.

Later, they were rushed to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared two dead.

In another incident, several people were injured after a small bridge collapsed under weight of people at Mohammadpur Sholoshohor area in the city.
