3 of a family found dead at Ashulia house

Three members of a family — a husband, wife, and their child — were found dead in a rented house in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka on Sunday. Police recovered the bodies around 7:30 pm at the house of Abul Hossain Dewan in Narsinghpur village.

The deceased have been identified as Rubel Ahmed, his wife Soni Akter, and their 6-year-old daughter Jamila. Their full identities are yet to be officially confirmed.

According to police and local residents, the bodies were discovered in a locked room following information provided by neighbors. It is believed that Rubel Ahmed killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life.

Abdul Hannan, Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Police Station, said the bodies have been sent to the hospital for autopsy, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
