2 more die from dengue, 715 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 217 this year.

Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and another in Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 715 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 51,404 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (October 7).

Of the new cases, 131 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 70 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 142 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 141 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 114 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)

Besides, 41 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 34 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 32 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC) and 10 in Rangpur division (Out of CC).
