4 more die from dengue, 781 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 224 this year.

Of the new deaths, one was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and three were recorded in Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 781 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 52,885 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (October 9).

Of the new cases, 130 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 82 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 101 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 162 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 116 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 48 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 40 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 63 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 32 in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and seven in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
