6 more die from dengue in a day; 1,195 hospitalised

Six more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 313 this year.

Of the new deaths, two were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) respectively, while two were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC).

During the period, 1,195 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 78,543 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (November 9).

Of the new cases, 155 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 132 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 278 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 220 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 115 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 114 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 59 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 113 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), and nine in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
