14 more districts get new DCs

The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 14 more districts, as announced in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday evening, November 9.

The districts receiving new appointments are: Brahmanbaria, Jhenaidah, Narail, Jamalpur, Meherpur, Kishoreganj, Jhalakati, Gopalganj, Chuadanga, Panchagarh, Joypurhat, Mymensingh, Manikganj, and Chandpur.

This follows a prior round of appointments made at midnight on Saturday, November 8, when 15 districts saw changes – including six reshuffles and nine new appointees.

The latest moves form part of an ongoing administrative reorganisation aimed at strengthening district-level governance. Official orders are expected to be implemented in the coming days.
