Crude bomb thrown in front of Grameen Bank’s head office
Two individuals wearing helmets on a motorcycle threw a crude bomb in front of the Grameen Bank’s head office in Mirpur-2 and fled the scene around 3:45 am on Monday (November 10).
Police said they are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
Sazzad Roman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station, told Jago News on Monday morning that they have inspected the site and senior officials are still present there. He added that the investigation is ongoing to determine those involved in the incident, and security in the area has been strengthened.
According to the OC, the CCTV footage shows the two helmeted individuals on a motorcycle throwing the crude bomb near the bank’s boundary wall at around 3:45 am. They fled immediately after the explosion.
