Panchagarh temperature drops to 14.5°C

Panchagarh is witnessing a noticeable drop in temperature as winter sets in. Night temperatures have been steadily falling over the past few days. On Tuesday (November 11) at 9:00 am, the Tetulia Meteorological Office recorded the season’s lowest temperature at 14.5°C, down from 16.5°C on Monday night.

Evenings have grown noticeably chilly, while early mornings are marked by light fog that dissipates as the sun rises. Monday’s daytime maximum temperature reached 31.2°C, but the evening chill was evident, with locals seen wearing warm clothing.

Rahim Uddin, an easy-bike driver from Dokropara, said, “At dawn, the fog is thick when leaving for Fajr prayer. Although it warms up during the day, we need warm clothing at night. The current chill feels pleasant, but harsher cold is expected in the coming days.”

Jitendranath Roy, officer-in-charge of the Tetulia Meteorological Observatory, confirmed that Tuesday morning’s 14.5°C was the lowest so far this winter, compared to 16.5°C on Monday. He also warned that both day and night temperatures may drop further during the week.
