3 more die from dengue in a day; 912 hospitalised

Three more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 318 this year.

All the new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 912 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 80,634 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (November 11).

Of the new cases, 138 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 151 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 130 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 194 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 131 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 72 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 88 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), three in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and five in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
