4 more die from dengue in a day; 920 hospitalised
Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 343 this year.
Of the new deaths, two were reported in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), and one was reported in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) respectively.
During the period, 920 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 86,924 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (November 16).
Of the new cases, 146 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 116 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 147 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 211 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 151 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Besides, 72 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 65 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), two in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and 10 in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
