4 more die from dengue in a day; 745 hospitalised

Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 353 this year.

Of the new deaths, two were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one was reported in Chattogram Division (Out of CC) and Mymensingh Division (Out of CC), respectively.

During the period, 745 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total number of cases to 88,457 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated today (November 20).

Of the new cases, 125 were recorded in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 89 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 154 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 116 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 127 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 32 new cases were recorded in Khulna Division (Out of CC), 53 in Mymensingh Division (Out of CC), 48 in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC), and one in Sylhet Division (Out of CC).
