2 more die from dengue in a day; 565 hospitalised

Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 386 so far this year.

The new deaths were reported in the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

During the period, 565 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 95,577 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (December 2).

Of the new cases, 51 were recorded in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 82 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 95 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 127 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 88 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 43 new cases were recorded in Khulna Division (Out of CC), 45 in Mymensingh Division (Out of CC), 30 in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC), three in Rangpur Division (Out of CC), and one in Sylhet Division (Out of CC).
