4 killed in Faridpur bus, auto-rickshaw collision
At least four people were killed and four others injured when a bus collided with an auto-rickshaw at Bhanga in Faridpur on Friday, December 5.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, police officials said.
The accident occurred on the Faridpur-Bhanga-Barishal highway near East Shodordi around noon.
According to police, the auto-rickshaw was heading from Bhanga toward Tekerhat via Chumurdi union when a speeding bus from the opposite direction collided with it, leaving four people killed and four others injured. Locals later rescued the injured and took them to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
Bhanga Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Rokibuzzaman told Jago News that the bodies were recovered and the injured taken to the health complex.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, the OC said, adding that they are looking into the matter.
