31 officials appointed as ADC
Thirty-one senior assistant secretaries have been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADC).
A notification, issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, confirmed the matter Monday night.
According to the notification, the transferred officers appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioners are delegated the powers of Additional District Magistrate under Section 10(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, to perform duties as Executive Magistrates within their respective jurisdictions.
The appointed officers must join their new workplaces by December 11, the notification said. Otherwise, they will be considered released (stand released) from their current posting (training/workplace) on the afternoon of December 11.
If the transferred officer’s office/workstation has already changed, he or she must submit the joining letter mentioning the name/address of the current workplace, the notification added.
