Secretariat staff confine Salehuddin demanding allowance

Officials and employees at the Bangladesh Secretariat confined Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed at his office on Wednesday afternoon, December 10, demanding Secretariat allowance.
A group of employees besieged him at his office on the fourth floor of the No. 11 building at the Secretariat around 2:30 pm.
They were chanting various slogans demanding the Secretariat allowance, and vowed to stay there until the allowance is issued.
Badiul Kabir, president of a portion of the Secretariat Officials and Employees United Council, led the siege.
