94 die with measles symptoms in 19 days: DGHS

Ninety-four people died with measles symptoms in different parts of the country in the last 19 days, with three more deaths reported in the past 24 hours, as the disease continued to spread.

In the last 24 hours, 947 individuals were hospitalised with measles-like symptoms, and of them, 42 were confirmed to be infected with the disease, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Friday, April 3.

From March 15 to April 3, a total of 3,776 people have been admitted to various hospitals with measles-like symptoms, and of them, 771 have been diagnosed with the disease.

The health directorate said it has been recording measles-related data since March 15.
