3 more die from dengue in a day; 411 hospitalised

Three more deaths from dengue were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 404 so far this year.

All the new deaths were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 411 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 99,493 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (December 11). 

Of the new cases, 50 were recorded in Barishal Division (Out of CC), 61 in Chattogram Division (Out of CC), 56 in Dhaka Division (Out of CC), 99 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 70 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

Besides, 26 new cases were recorded in Khulna Division (Out of CC), 20 in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC), 21 in Rajshahi Division (Out of CC), two in Rangpur Division (Out of CC), and six in Sylhet Division (Out of CC).
