The motorcycle used in the attack on Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, has been identified. The motorcycle’s owner, Abdul Hannan, has also been detained.

Mohammad Mostofa Kamal Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Paltan Model Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Sunday (14 December).

He said Abdul Hannan was detained and handed over to the police by RAB-2, and further legal proceedings are underway.

When asked whether the motorcycle had been recovered, the OC said that only Abdul Hannan had been handed over by RAB, and the motorcycle has not yet been recovered.

Notably, Osman Hadi, who was shot in the capital’s Bijoynagar Box Culvert area on Friday, is currently undergoing treatment in the Critical Care Unit at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
