Chhatra Shakti blocks Shahbagh, demands Home Adviser’s resignation

Jatiya Chhatra Shakti blocked the Shahbagh intersection on Monday, demanding the arrest of those responsible for the gun attack on Inqilab Moncho spokesperson and potential independent Dhaka-8 candidate Sharif Osman Hadi, and calling for the resignation of Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

Leaders and activists of the organisation took position at the Shahbagh intersection around 12:30 pm on Monday (15 December).

During the blockade, they chanted slogans demanding the resignation of the home affairs adviser. Vehicular movement through the Shahbagh intersection remained suspended due to the blockade.
