Hadi to be buried beside poet Kazi Nazrul Islam

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, will be laid to rest beside the mausoleum of Bangladesh’s national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam, on the Dhaka University campus.

The decision follows a request from Hadi’s family, Inqilab Mancha announced on its official Facebook page on Friday afternoon, December 19.

Hadi’s body was transported from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to a mortuary and will later be taken to Shahbagh, where party members will hold a vigil.

His namaz-e-janaza is scheduled to be held after Zuhr prayer on Manik Mia Avenue on Saturday, December 20, with the body brought to Dhaka University Central Mosque for public homage.

Supporters have been urged to maintain order, avoid disruptions, and offer prayers peacefully. Direct viewing of the body will not be permitted, in line with the family’s wishes and protocols.
