Home Ministry calls urgent press conference at 5:30pm

The Ministry of Home Affairs has called an urgent press conference for Sunday evening, December 21, to inform about 'Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2' and the progress of the country's overall law and order situation.

The press conference will be held at 5:30 pm in the ministry's conference room at the Bangladesh Secretariat, said Faisal Hasan, public relations officer of the ministry.

At the press conference, Home Adviser Lt Gen (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury will reply to various questions from the journalists.

The urgent press conference was convened after the protesters at Shahbagh gave the adviser a 24-hour ultimatum to resign for failure to bring the killers of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi to justice.
