No reliable info Hadi’s killer has left country: Addl IGP

Police have not obtained any reliable information confirming whether Faisal Karim Masud, the suspected shooter in the killing of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, has left the country, said Khondkar Rafiqul Islam, Additional Inspector General of Police (Crime and Operations) at Police Headquarters.

Speaking at a joint press conference of the Police, RAB, and BGB at the Secretariat on Sunday (21 December), Khondkar Rafiqul Islam said there is no confirmed information about Faisal’s last known location. “Our forces and intelligence agencies are working to obtain this information. However, we have not received any reliable confirmation that he has left the country. Frequently, misinformation about criminals’ locations is circulated,” he added.

When asked about any political party involvement in the killing, he said, “So far, we have not found any specific involvement of a political party. Our efforts to obtain accurate information are ongoing.”
