165 dengue patients hospitalised in 24 hours

A total of 165 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

No death cases have so far been reported during the period.

Among the dengue patients, 24 were from Dhaka Division (Out of City Corportation), 43 from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 33 from Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 8 from Barishal  Division (Out of City Corportation), 27 from Chattogram Divison (Out of City Corportation), 10 from Khulna Division (Out of City Corportation), 13 from Mymensingh Division (Out of City Corportation), 4 from Rajshahi Division (Out of City Corportation), 2 from Rangpur Division (Out of City Corportation), and one from Sylhet Division (Out of City Corportation).

In 2024, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths. That year remains one of the more severe recent outbreaks, although lower than the record year 2023.
