Death toll rises to 4 in launch collision on Meghna River

The death toll has risen to four following the collision between the launches Zakir Samrat-3 and Adventure-9 on the Meghna River in Chandpur amid dense fog.
The incident occurred around 2:00 am on Friday (December 25) near the Harina area of Chandpur Sadar upazila. Additional IGP of the River Police, Kusum Dewan, confirmed the information to Jago News.
Earlier, Babu Lal Baidya, Deputy Director (Traffic) of Chandpur BIWTA, had reported two fatalities. Subsequently, two more people died.
According to Babu Lal Baidya, the collision occurred due to heavy fog on the Meghna River in the Harina area of Chandpur Sadar.
