Lawyer lynched in Bashundhara residential area
A lawyer was reportedly beaten to death in Dhaka's Bashundhara residential area on Wednesday Night.
The deceased was identified as Naim Kibria, 35, son of Golam Kibria, from Chak Joyenpur village in Sadar upazila of Pabna.
Bhatara police station's sub-inspector, Md Ariful Islam, said they learned that the riders of a motorcycle severely beat up Naim as his private car got hit with the vehicle in Bashundhara residential area, leaving him seriously injured.
His relatives rushed him to Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, where he died, Ariful said.
Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he said.
SI Ariful Islam further stated that the deceased, a saliva-like substance coming from the victim’s mouth, emanated a narcotic odour, and there were visible injury marks on his body. However, the exact cause of death will only be determined once the post-mortem report is received.
