A mild cold wave is sweeping over seven districts, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Panchagarh, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia, and it may abate in some places.

In a weather forecast issued on Friday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said moderate to thick fog may occur at many places across the country from midnight to Saturday morning and may continue in some areas until noon. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be temporarily disrupted due to thick fog.
